UNITED CHASE KROOS
Manchester United just continues on receiving bad news in this season as after being knocked out from the Champions League, they were hit by another blow after being notified that one of David Moyes biggest summer targets, Toni Kroos is not likely to join the Premier League club anytime soon.
Toni Kroos was one of the primary targets that Moyes was expecting to sign in the summer transfer window but according to his agent, Volker Struth things will not go as Moyes wanted it to.
“We are confronted with a variety of rumors for months but at the moment I believe that Toni plays in Bavaria until 2015 at least. Toni has one year more of a contract and Toni will remain there. I hope he can extend his contract and stay with us.” Struth said.
During a recent news conference of Pep Guardiola, the former Barcelona coach revealed that he has plans of placing Toni Kroos into his main squad for the upcoming season, which means that the Spanish tactician will not let him go.
Even the chairman of the German club, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has spoken out concerning the situation of Toni Kroos as he said that the 24 years old player will not be on sale in the summer.
“Toni Kroos will definitely still be playing for us next season. Furthermore, we want him to carry on wearing our shirt beyond 2015.” Rummenigge said.
This means that the chances of Manchester United actually signing Toni Kroos are almost non-existent as the player is still being valued and taken into consideration by his club.
Although David Moyes will be more worried about other things than whether or not signing Toni Kroos is an option as his future as head coach of Manchester United is hanging by a thread.
