BAYERN OFF TO A WIN

Bayern Munich has defeated Greuther Furth by 3-0 in its first match of the Bundesliga season on Saturday. With this victory, Bayern has started the new season with a bang. The manager of Bayern Munich, Jupp Heynckes, praised his players a lot after the match and said that the team played even better than his expectations. As per Heynckes, it is not easy to give such a flawless performance in the very first match of the season, but, the players showed determination and outplayed Furth in the match.

In the first half, Furth players gave a tough fight to the Bayern team and despite creating opportunities; Bayern was not able to take a lead till the 40th minute and it seemed that there would be no goal in the first half. But, just 2 minutes before the half time break, Mueller took Bayern ahead by scoring the first goal of the match.  Mario Mandzukic doubled the lead of Bayern in the 59th minute.  Arjen Robben hit a powerful shot with his right foot from just outside the penalty box. But, he didn’t place his shot well and the goal keeper managed to block his shot. But, Mandzukic capitalized on the rebound and put the ball into the goal post with a fantastic header.

The Furth players got pressurized after the second goal and they started making unnecessary mistakes. In the 78th minute, Thomas Kleine increased the problems of his team by scoring an own goal. The Furth team didn’t manage to score even a single goal in the match. The manager of Furth, Mike Bueskens, looked livid with the performance of his players. After the match, he told the reporters that the players need to make big improvements in their game if they have to make a mark in the Bundesliga season. The team’s performance was well below par in this match. As per Bueskens, he hadn’t expected the team to play such badly.
