Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack has rendered his support to a potential Premier league move for Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos, who has been heavily linked with Manchester United in recent months. The midfielder is out of contract next summer, while negotiations do not appear to be progressing has expected. Despite being an integral part of the team, Bayern Munich are willing to offer him more than € 8 million per year as part of the new contract. Kroos recently revealed that he is no closer to agreeing a deal worth the German outfit.

He has also been made aware that clubs like United are taking a serious look at him. Ballack knows all about the Premier league after being a star of the Chelsea team that won the title in 2009. Kroos could have a similar career path to that of Ballack, which resulted in the former German international coming out in support of the move. The 24-year-old has also been a transfer target for Real Madrid in recent months. United’s failure to finish in the top four may prove to be a hindrance, but given the club’s structure in the game, Kroos may be prepared to forsake one year of Champions League football.

Ballack played for the top clubs like Bayern Munich and Chelsea during his illustrious career.

“I think he has been checking out his market value and he will know where he is in the salary structure. It’s important to know you’re valued and it is perfectly legitimate that he looks around,” said Ballack about the potential move. “No decision has been made on my future. It is no secret that the Premier League is a possibility for me,” said Kroos a few weeks ago. He scored the vital opening goal against Arsenal in the first leg Champions League last 16 stage.
